We convene to listen to written work in English and in French. Afterwards, the audience votes on the gems of the night. You can find those under Audience Favorites.
We also select one piece from each issue for our collection of Editor’s Picks.

Each month, we choose a new theme and open our mailbox to your submissions. We welcome all kinds of work! Dreams, poems, journal entries, essays, old assignments, confessions… If it fits the theme and you want to share it, we want to hear it.
For those of you who are not based in Paris, feel free to send your work regardless! We can connect you to someone who would be happy to read it for you.
Cassettes is also a magazine! In Spring 2026 following a successful crowdfunding campaign, we launched the first print edition which features all texts from the first three themes: Goosbumps/Chair de poule, Bubble/Bulle, and Slip Glisser. Remember that your work will be performed for a live audience! We recommend reading your piece to a friend before sending it, just to get a feel for how it sounds…
